Early Years Conference 2019 The Power of Play - Ensuring Challenge and Progression Through Play
Early Years Conference 2019
The Power of Play – Ensuring Challenge and Progression Through Play The statutory EYFS guidance tells us that: "Each area of learning and development must be implemented through planned, purposeful play and through a mix of adult-led and child-initiated activity." "Play is essential for children’s development, building their confidence as they learn to explore, to think about problems, and relate to others." So let us play! This year's Portsmouth early years conference will be embracing the crucial theme of play and warmly welcoming our key note and workshop presenter from Early Education Associates, Kym Scott to the city. Kym will be sharing her expertise and inspiring us all throughout the day! The conference workshops will focus on developing ideas to achieve high levels of engagement in child initiated play. The vital role of the adult in supporting play and challenging children to achieve is a theme that will run through every workshop, whether you choose to attend a workshop on physical development or supporting children with SEND. Have a look at the exciting workshops below. You will be able to select one workshop for the morning and one for the afternoon.
